Job Title : Travel Psychiatric RN – Day Shift Location : Copper Springs, Avondale, AZ Schedule : Day Shift (12-hour shifts) Assignment Type : Travel Contract

Overview : Copper Springs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join their behavioral health team in Avondale, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient psychiatric facility that provides care for adults and adolescents experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and individualized treatment plans
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and case managers
  • Conduct assessments, document patient progress, and participate in treatment planning
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options

    • Qualifications :

  • Active RN license in the state of Arizona (or compact license)
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
  • BLS certification (required)
  • CPI or equivalent de-escalation certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
