Operator Loader
The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also clean, maintain, and secure all equipment as directed by policies, procedures, and operator manuals.
Responsibilities include :
- Operating front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials
- Starting engine, shifting gears, pressing pedals, and turning steering wheel
- Moving levers to lower and tilt bucket and driving front-end loader
- Moving levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, driving vehicle to work site, and moving levers to dump material
- Verifying amount of aggregate in storage bins and filling hoppers
- Performing routine maintenance on loaders
- Ensuring quality and quantity of raw materials meet established standards
- Meeting established performance indicators
- Working toward improvement of the plant and surrounding area
- Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
- Participating in minor maintenance and visual evaluations
- Conferring with plant superintendent and other personnel to resolve problems
- Hauling cement and / or additives from storage area
- Adhering to CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations
- Meeting or exceeding company safety standards
- Performing other job responsibilities as assigned by management
