The Minerals Testing & Research Center provides technical expertise throughout all phases of the R&D project lifecycle for equipment and process development as well as support flowsheet design and optimization to mineral processing concentrators globally.
Our world renowned laboratory is used by a team of metallurgical and chemical engineers, chemists, mineralogists, and technicians to discover solutions for our customers.

Your responsibilities
- Acts as primary technical resource for external clients.
- Read and interpret electrical blue prints, diagrams and equipment installation instructions.
- Planning, designing and performing the installation of complete electrical systems within project parameters.
- Program and troubleshoot VFDs and electrical systems
- PLC wiring.
- Inspect equipment for proper erection and installation using manuals / drawings as guides. Provide engineering with feedback and / or recommendations as to current problems note utilizing appropriate communication means.
- Operate equipment to ensure proper function and field test for fit and operational values. Note discrepancies and coordinate corrective action through Project Managers, Sales & Engineers.
- Train operating and maintenance personnel at job site.
- Make corrective recommendations on equipment failures and / or personally repair equipment as needed with project manager approval.
- Inspect equipment and recommend parts, repair or replacement, oversee field refurbishment of equipment under warrantable conditions.
- Provide written documentation of all activities including all measurements that define inspection and tests. Note and correct any deviations and ensure that specifications are met as required.
- Supervise and assist Contractors with installing, erecting, repairing, and / or rebuilding equipment.
- Assists MTRC groups with equipment designs to meet project objectives
- Assists with the mechanical and / or electrical repairs, maintenances, and fabrication of rental equipment.
- Expected to practice and champion safety efforts at the MTRC, including maintaining equipment inspections, personnel training and qualification of operators for designated equipment.

- What you bring
- Licensed journeyman or master electrician.
- Industrial experience.
- Must have equipment knowledge and be able to work with Product Line Management, engineering, and automation to troubleshoot and repair.
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and code requirements and communicate to others.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment of system users What we offer
