Position Overview
Client is seeking a mid-level Trusts & Estates Associate with 2 4 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate. This role involves extensive client interaction and requires someone capable of working both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Strong drafting, research, communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Trust & Estate Administration
Manage trust and estate matters from start to completion.
Prepare and review fiduciary accountings, inventories, petitions, and related filings.
Work with personal representatives, trustees, beneficiaries, and financial institutions.
Document Drafting
Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and deeds.
Prepare probate-related documents and estate planning forms.
Legal Research
Conduct research on estate planning, probate procedure, tax issues, and fiduciary responsibilities.
Provide clear written analysis and interpretations.
Client Interaction & Development
Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates.
Support business development through networking and relationship building.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Manage deadlines, organize case files, and utilize firm technology efficiently.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active Pennsylvania Bar license (required).
2 4 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Strong drafting, research, writing, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Westlaw (or similar).
Excellent attention to detail; ability to work independently and within a team.
Education & Experience
J.D. degree required.
Pennsylvania Bar admission required (additional bar admissions are a plus).
Bachelor's degree required.
Law firm experience (2 4 years) preferred.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment.
In-person schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM.
Frequent desk and computer work.
Occasional lifting of files (up to 15 lbs).
Regular communication via email, phone, meetings, and Teams.
Occasional work outside standard hours.
