The Primary Care Center at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio has an opening for a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or General Internal Medicine physician at one of our primary care clinics.

This position will hold a faculty appointment of Assistant Professor / Clinical (Non-Tenure Track) .

We are seeking qualified individuals with a strong commitment to patient-centered and innovative team-based primary care.

Clinically, applicants should be prepared to manage a wide range of complex problems presenting in primary care, including chronic care and prevention.

Inpatient and obstetrics are not required. Resident mentoring and medical student teaching opportunities are available, but not required.

San Antonio, Texas is the State's tourist venue, enjoying a wonderful year-round climate and a wide range of cultural and recreational activities.

Time Off- A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options :

Front-loaded Paid Time Off : to hours ( to days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year.

PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.

Extended Illness Bank : hours ( day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.

Paid Family Leave : Up to hours ( weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after months of consecutive employment.

Holidays : set paid holidays each year plus three floating holidays, which can be used anytime during the fiscal year.
