Overview
This position is responsible for resolving potential or actual technical issues, troubleshooting different software packages, hardware devices and other applications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all IT support requests, and solutions, are logged in the Help Desk system.
- Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking.
- Walk users through installing computer peripherals.
- Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems and guide users with step-by-step instructions.
- Conduct remote and basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi connectivity, patch panel checks, cabling issues).
- Test alternative pathways to resolve an issue and direct unresolved issues to the next level of support.
- Provide first-line support during upcoming domain migration and other system upgrades.
- Assist with Active Directory user and group management (account creation, password resets, group memberships).
- Maintain asset inventory (computers, peripherals, licenses) and print infrastructure.
- Customize desktop applications to meet user needs and follow up with clients to ensure systems are functional.
- Report customer feedback and potential product requests; contribute to technical documentation and manuals.
Qualifications
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask.Excellent teamwork and initiative; strong communication for onboarding and documenting IT procedures.Ability to work independently with self-motivation.Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.Basic knowledge of Group Policy and system imaging.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (mailboxes, Teams basics).Hands-on experience with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Working knowledge of office automation, printers and scanners.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Education, Certifications and Experience
High School Diploma or GEDAA / AS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent0-2 years' experience preferredCompTIA A+ certification preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment
