Responsibilities :
SummaryWe are inviting motivated students to join our team in Bay Area. The team works on developing cutting edge technologies in multimedia data compression, processing, transmission, analysis and beyond.
Some example areas include (but not limited to) video compression algorithms, future video coding standards, VR and 360 video coding and transmission, intelligent visual data analysis and representation, future immersive data compression and processing ( mesh, point cloud, light field, etc.
Responsibility Research, design, implement, and optimize novel algorithms / models that lead to improved video compression performance or higher perceptual quality.
Summarize the developed algorithms into academic papers, standard contributions and patent applications pay rates (salaries for exempt) : 8,000 - 10,000USD / month
Requirements :
Minimum QualificationIn a master / PhD program in computer science, electrical engineering, math, statistics, or related fieldsRelated working experience / course work in image / video compression or image processingInterest and experience in video compression and video coding standardsStrong coding skills in C / C++Ability to communicate / collaborate with other researchers / engineersAbility to think out of box Preferred Candidates For This Position Should Also HaveGood understanding of state-of-the-art video compression algorithmsWorking experience on HEVC, AV1, VVC, AVS or other video codecsPublications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences
