Description :

The role requires proficiency in sterile techniques and case cart management.

Experience with C-sections, dilation and curettage, and vaginal delivery is essential.

Candidates should be familiar with equipment such as suction devices and cautery machines.

The department includes ten labor rooms, two operating rooms, and three triage beds.

The unit delivers approximately 100 babies a month, with an average of 23% C-sections.

High-risk labor patients are also managed in this area.

On-call duty is required when needed.

Nurses are expected to assist in labor room setups and handle specimens.

Interfacing with lab and other departments is part of the job.

Successful candidates must have computer skills and work collaboratively with physicians and other nursing staff.

Additional responsibilities include the use of intrauterine pressure catheters and maintaining central lines.

Experience in administering anticoagulants and antihypertensives is also important.

Assisting with high-risk deliveries and circulating for C-sections is required.

Candidates must adhere to isolation precautions and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

This role does not float to other units.
