As a Project Engineer, you will partner with the Project Manager to complete the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects.

MJ Hughes Construction is a leading northwest heavy civil contractor building critical public construction projects such as bridges, roadways, steel structures, concrete structures in Washington & Oregon with our headquarters in Vancouver, Washington.

Location :
- The position will be based in Vancouver, WA with projects in Washington and Oregon.
- Candidates must live or be able to relocate to within 50 miles.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinating with Superintendents to comply with project goals and expectations.
- Assist with Contract Compliance & Administration.
- Submittal Management.
- Subcontractor Management.
- Assisting Project Managers with cost controls and project changes.
- Process RFI’s and Change Orders.
- Project Closeout Documentation.
Qualifications :
- Undergraduate degree in construction-related field of engineering or comparable work experience.
- Ability to read and understand project owner specifications and engineered drawings.
- Prior DOT experience preferred.
- Work independently as well as part of a team.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and passion for excellence.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Solid organization / time management skills.
- Must have computer experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be authorized to work in the United Sates.
- Must relocate to area before starting work.
