Location : Bridgeview, IL
Reporting to : Engineering & Maintenance Manager
Shift : Day shift : 7 : 00 am-7 : 00 pm. 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off. They’ll work every other weekend and it’s a rotating shift.
Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Bridgeview facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of legacy equipment that is non-automated within our facility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize a variety of tools including calipers, chisels, gauges, saws, hammers, drivers, drills, grinders, and cutters for maintenance tasks.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting at a basic level, addressing issues as they arise.
- Proficient in troubleshooting 480v electrical systems and AC / DC motors, including the use of multimeters or volt meters.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Participate in safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
Requirements : Must-Haves :
Must-Haves :
- General experience using a wide range of tools.
- Basic competency in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with 480v electrical systems and AC / DC motors.
Nice-to-Haves :
- Technical degrees or certifications, preferably in Industrial Technology or PLC Programming.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with extruders, formers, trim presses, and other support equipment.
- Knowledge of compressors and chillers.
- Experience with safety circuit troubleshooting.
