Security Officer Unarmed Shopping Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Shopping Mall Patrol in Carson, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at this retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. This is a driving post, where your presence and customer service skills will play a key role in supporting a positive experience for everyone. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or potential threats within the mall environment.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Offer directions and assistance to visitors and tenants to enhance their overall experience at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
