A design-build and new development construction GC that focuses on multifamily, education, and hospital projects in the St. Petersburg, FL area is looking to hire a Project Accountant to its growing team.

You must have 2+ years of experience with pay balls, AIA billing, lien waivers, percentage of completion, WIP, and construction software such as Vista Viewpoint, Sage Timberline, etc

Are you an experienced Project Accountant with a passion for the construction industry and a knack for numbers? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Permanent Project Accountant for New Construction Development. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing organization, where you will play an integral role in the financial management of our numerous construction projects.

Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Project Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial management of our new construction development projects. Your main responsibilities will include :

• Overseeing project costs and ensuring they are in line with budgets.
• Preparing and submitting pay applications and AIA billings.
• Managing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of lien waivers.
• Utilizing Vista Viewpoint, Sage, Timberline, and other relevant software for project accounting and financial management.
• Implementing the percentage of completion method for revenue recognition.
• Collaborating with project managers to monitor project progress and ensure financial accuracy.
• Providing project cost reports and financial updates to the senior management team.
• Ensuring compliance with AIA G702 and other relevant standards and regulations.
