Shared Services Staff Accountant

Sol Systems is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will work closely with Sol Systems' Shared Services Accounting Manager to support our accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions, all of which are integral parts of Sol Systems' success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Day-to-day accounts payable responsibilities, including :
• Creating and assigning invoices.
• Supporting all accounts payable requests and inquiries.
• Day-to-day accounts receivable responsibilities including preparation of invoices
• Vendor set-up and management, including 1099 compliance.
• Record all cash transactions, both routine and complex daily.
• Complete bank account reconciliations and other analyses to support our close, consolidation and external reporting requirements.
• Prepare accrual and prepaid journal entries and reconcile related accounts based on the established calendar for our monthly, quarterly, or annual close.
• Reconcile AP and AR Aging monthly.
• Effectively manage relationships with vendors, customers, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Innovate to identify and create process efficiencies and optimize our use of available systems and technologies.
• Support periodic special projects.

A Successful Candidate Will Possess The Following Skills And Attributes :

Location & Hours : This position will be based in our Washington DC office. This position is full-time with a required 3 days a week in the office.

Commitment & Compensation : The base salary for this role is between $55,000 and $70,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
