Radiology- CT Tech (Permanent Role)

  • Location : San Angelo, TX, 76903
  • Shift : 08 : 00 AM - 8 : 00 PM
  • Job Type : Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours : (36 hours / week)
  • Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)

Position Summary :

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. The technologist ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process while maintaining compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform CT scans and related diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Verify patient identification and review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging exams using proper techniques.
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor patient condition during imaging; respond to patient needs as appropriate.
  • Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards before submission to radiologists.
  • Maintain accurate patient and exam records within the imaging system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and training as required.

    • Qualifications :

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification / Licensure :

    • ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) preferred or must be obtained within 6 12 months of hire.

  • Current Texas MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist) license.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • Experience :

    • New graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Prior CT or radiology experience.
