Position Overview

The Project Coordinator serves as the primary interface between customers, the internal team, and manufacturing. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and additive manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth communication and seamless execution of projects from estimation through final delivery. The Project Coordinator leads the Quoting and Planning team, manages customer relationships, and supports company growth initiatives through technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and active participation in business development.

Responsibilities and Duties

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Prepare and manage estimates, including build files, estimating worksheets, and traveler documentation.
  • Review incoming customer files and provide technical feedback on printability and design adjustments.
  • Perform light CAD modifications to customer files including but not limited to file conversions, CAD error cleanup, and splitting
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to ensure accurate customer information, drawings, and files are supplied.
  • Support and enforce adherence to AS9100 Rev D quality standards and other customer-specific requirements.
  • Assist in the completion of quality documentation, including FAIRs, Certificates of Conformance, and inspection reports.

Customer & Business Development

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, ensuring clear communication and proactive follow-ups on projects.
  • Support the marketing team by participating in trade shows, generating leads, writing case studies, and identifying new suppliers or technologies.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts, ensuring new materials and technologies are introduced effectively to the customer base.
  • Track and communicate forecasting trends, open orders, and sales opportunities to management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise between Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Review and manage supply inventory to avoid delays and costly expedites.
  • Support problem-solving for complex, multidisciplinary challenges, such as check fixtures, 3D model modifications, and large-part build strategies.
  • Provide feedback and solutions on production, inspection, finishing, and post-delivery improvements.
  • Additional Duties

  • Assist in creating shipping documentation and processing purchase orders.
  • Provide backup support in answering phones and handling customer inquiries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in processes, efficiency, and quality.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate a "do what it takes" mindset to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Note : Responsibilities may change based on operational needs.

    Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, Magic Software and SolidWorks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand additive manufacturing processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of project or production coordination experience (additive manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays during peak production periods.
  • Valid driver's license and passport required; willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail.
