LPN - Inpatient

Overview :

Starting at $26.50 / hr. $5,000 Sign-on Bonus

Licensed Practicial Nurse

Shifts Available : Full-time, Nights 7p-7a

As an LPN, you will provide care for a specified group of patients , utilizing all the skills you have gained in obtaining your license.

With the support of an RN and other team members of the care group, you will perform tasks or skills within your scope of practice, including but not limited to :

• P rovid e safe and reliable patient centered care with support and supervision of a n RN .
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• M anag e care with ongoing assessments and vitals.
• A dministe r medications as ordered by the provider.
• P rovid e evidenced-based patient education starting at admission .
• D ocument daily progress toward care plan goals .
• C omplet e bedside procedures ( e.g. , foley, NG, dressing changes, drains, etc.).
• Provide discharge education and review instructions with patient and / or caregivers.
• Document in the electronic medical record

Responsibilities :

Clinical Excellence / Patient Care

• Provides and directs nursing / patient care activities within their scope of practice.
• Evaluates activities to ensure patient care, staff relations and efficiency of service.
• Interacts professionally with all patients and family members
• Knowledge of medications, ability to perform services to level of licensure.
• Maintains cooperative working relationship with all medical staff members
• Ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.

Care Coordination

Collaborates with other departments to provide for best patient outcomes

Qualifications :

Education : Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited program

License(s) / Certification(s) : Licensed and registered in the state of IA and IL (LPN), CPR certification required.
