Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform construction administration and inspection services for the state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
• Complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for payment
• Review the contractors schedule
• Labor compliance
• Coordinate 3rd party special material testing inspections
• Review and provide input on potential change order issues
• Maintain project records
• Manage project photographic records
• Verification of field surveys
• Maintain a daily report of all work site activities
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field experience
• In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have a least 5 years of construction related experience (experience with ODOT or Ohio Turnpike)
• Experience with transportation construction means / methods such as Concrete construction, site excavation, and grading, pipe installation, signage, striping, Hot Mix Asphalt Construction, temporary traffic control.
• A valid drivers license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel to various Ohio project areas as needed.
• Different level of construction certifications are preferred however not required (Anser Advisory will assist with getting some certifications if necessary.)
• o ODOT Certifications
• Project Inspector
• Project Structures Inspector
• Traffic Signal and Lighting Inspector
• Soils and Aggregate Inspector
• o ACI concrete field-testing Technician -Grade I
• o NICET Highway Construction level II
• o IMSA Traffic Signal Construction Tech Level II and IMSA Roadway Lighting Tech Level I
• o NICET Level II Construction materials testing and NICET Level II Geotechnical Engineering Technology-Highway Construction Level II or III
