Job descriptionDevelop complete, clear, and organized line-item estimates covering both direct and Collaborate with Project Managers to refine scopes of work and align cost strategies. Suggest value engineering options and material alternatives that meet budget and Prepare polished bid packages and walk clients through line items, scope details, and Represent Black Bears capabilities and differentiators professionally during all Communicate tradeoffs clearly when discussing alternatives or value engineering Partner with internal teams to ensure takeoffs and cost data translate accurately into job Support pre-job meetings by clearly conveying estimate assumptions and critical details. 35 years of commercial estimating experience, ideally in resinous or seamless flooring. Proficiency in takeoff and estimating platforms such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Deep familiarity with construction plans, specs, and blueprint interpretation. Exceptional attention to detail in measurements, calculations, and proposal formatting. Clear, professional communication skills with clients, engineers, vendors, and internal Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Youre laser-focused on accuracy, accountability, and professionalism. You translate complex documents into clear, competitive bid proposals. reliability. We're expanding and looking for a detail-driven Resinous Flooring Estimator to join
our team and help us continue setting the standard for excellence in seamless flooring.
Position Summary
As a Resinous Flooring Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate takeoffs,
cost estimates, and bid packages that reflect our high standards. This position requires deep
knowledge of the resinous flooring trade, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work
collaboratively across departments to deliver competitive and compelling proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Proposal Development
- Review architectural, MEP, and structural drawings (PDF, AutoCAD, Revit) to extract
accurate quantities using digital takeoff software.
