Facilities Technician - Doral, FL

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Facilities Technician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion. Compensation : $21.50 per hour The main function of a Facilities Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and systems in assigned facilities. Assists in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Job Responsibilities : Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment as directed. General interior maintenance – patching / painting, hang pictures, repair office furniture systems, and repair doors. Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested. Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned. Escort vendors onsite to perform routine preventative maintenance or repairs. Requires the employee to be on-call for after-hours emergencies and available before, during and after severe weather events, a highly important service that may last multiple days before employee is allowed to return home. Required Qualifications : High school diploma or GED required. 0-2 years facilities technician experience required.
