Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder to assign accurate medical codes for outpatient encounters.

Key Responsibilities

Assign accurate Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes, ICD diagnoses, CPT, and HCPCS codes from medical records

Work collaboratively to meet team quality and productivity standards while adhering to quality assurance protocols

Monitor coding accuracy using auditing tools and manage code updates and trends

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

3 years of experience in Medical Coding, specifically Evaluation & Management (E / M) coding

One or more certifications required : CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P

Proficient E / M Coding experience for both Pro-Fee and Facility charges

Knowledge of the US healthcare industry
