Senior Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail oriented Senior Bookkeeper to oversee all financial and accounting activities for a manufacturing company. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong manufacturing experience who's ready to own the company's financial processes, collaborate with leadership and drive accuracy, efficiency and results.

Base pay range

$75,000.00 / yr - $85,000.00 / yr

Location : Cleveland, OH

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including A / P, A / R, reconciliations, payroll, collections, limited purchasing, 401k administration, tax compliance, cash management, including facilitating payments via ACH and check, and general ledger
• Lead monthly and year-end close processes; deliver accurate and timely financial statements / reports
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Drive cost accounting and inventory control; collaborate with Production and Management on scrap, inventory counts and data integrity
• Manage banking relationships and select vendor relationships, including assistance in negotiating and / or renewing contracts
• Coordinate and manage external audit processes, such as BWC and Pension Fund, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Build, develop and mentor an accounting assistant
• Monitor key financial metrics and provide proactive recommendations to leadership
• Oversee tax planning, compliance and coordination with external accountants
• Serve as the financial liaison to executive leadership, preparing and presenting reports and insights that drive decision-making
