Overview : A state government agency in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking an experienced IT Finance Manager to lead financial planning, analysis, and management for its Office of Information Technology. This is a high-impact role for a strategic and detail-oriented finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving fiscal accountability, operational efficiency, and technology alignment.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can independently manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively across departments, and deliver accurate, timely financial insights that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial management and analysis for the IT organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards that support strategic IT initiatives.
• Analyze IT expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior IT leadership.
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance reports, and budget justifications.
• Oversee deliverables related to vendor payments, contracts, and purchase orders to ensure compliance and fiscal accuracy.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code , and internal policies.
• Establish and refine standard accounting, reconciliation, and reporting practices within IT.
• Develop and document business processes, user guides, and self-service financial resources.
• Support automation initiatives, feedback systems, and continuous improvement programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial operations and project transparency.
• Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
