Job descriptionCollaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies Design, develop and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems Utilize AWS services within application architecture Develop, test, debug and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices available. Participate in code reviews, ensure security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient code. Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges. Ensures adherence to standards and best practices Work with product manager, business stakeholders, and other team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions 5 Years Experience in Proficient using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud. 7 Years Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java - strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology 5 Years Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development. 5 Years Experience Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems 5 Years Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools 7 Years Experience in Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders 3 Years Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs, data pipelines with high volumes of data. 2 Years Experience with data analytics, business intelligence solutions (like Power BI or AWS QuickSight ) AWS Certification State Government experience

DHHS-ITD is seeking an AWS / Java developer specializing in Data modernization using cloud solutions on AWS.
Job Description :
DHHS-ITD is looking to hire an AWS / Java developer with 8-10 years of software development experience. This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams at ITD and DPH to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications, which should include refactoring / migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
- Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java - strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology .
- Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools
- Knowledge / experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus. ???
- Must have experience / familiar with Agile / Scrum Framework environments
