Cybersecurity Architect / Engineer Connected Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS)

The Leidos Surface Transportation group focuses on improving transportation system operations to achieve USDOT's safety and mobility goals. The Leidos Surface Transportation group spearheads a variety of exciting R&D and deployment projects for federal, state, and local transportation agencies, including cutting-edge R&D for the Federal Highway Administration's Saxton Transportation Operation Laboratory (STOL). Our work focuses on emerging technologies, including but not limited to infrastructure and vehicle connectivity and automation, everything-in-the loop simulation, and AI / ML modeling.
To promote these efforts, Leidos is looking for a Cybersecurity Architect / Engineer Connected Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS) to join our team!
Primary Responsibilities :
- Shape and define security architectures across new captures
- Spearhead our approach to Secure by Design and develop security strategies, documentation and approaches
- Work with minimal direction across a range of projects or bids
- Interface with security design partners, both customer and supplier representatives, and colleagues
- Ensure effective and efficient C-ITS security architectures
- Develop and deliver the cybersecurity elements of a solution
Minimal Qualifications :
Strong interest in working with emerging technologies and shaping the future of transportationStrong communication skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experienceExperience with IoT platforms and devicesStrong understanding of cyber risk and treatment approachesExperience in integrating risk management framework activities into the system development lifecycle (SDLC)Experience in developing and maintaining key security documentationAbility to architect, design, troubleshoot, maintain, and deploy vulnerability scanning solutionsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceAll applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorshipAnticipated salary range for this role is $95,000-$130,000.
