Job Title : Receptionist / Front Office.
General Description : The receptionist / front office worker is responsible for answering all incoming phone lines and directing callers to the appropriate department or staff person. The receptionist greets all visitors to the building and oversees the building resident call system and general office work as assigned by the Administrator.
Days and Hours on Duty : Tuesday- Friday , 9am-5 : 30pm.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Answer all incoming phone lines and direct callers.
- Monitors resident call system at the front reception area.
- Identifies visitors for sign in log at the front desk.
- Orders office supplies as directed.
- Is responsible for keeping the resident roster available and up to date (LIC9020).
- Is responsible for maintaining and updating the staff roster for each department.
- Communicates with appropriate staff using electronic devices and phone system.
- Works with the Administrator to ensure that new residents admitted are orientated to the community.
- As directed by the Administrator and or the Director assembles resident marketing information.
- Address residents’ requests, complaints, and problems and refer issues to the appropriate staff member.
- Keep track of daily census and reports this to all departments.
- Assists the Administrator with tasks as assigned.
- Provide community tours for potential residents as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensures that any suspected or alleged elder abuse such as neglect, or mistreatment of residents is reported.
Qualifications :
High School diploma, or equivalent, preferred.Previous employer references and / or letters of recommendation.Possess a valid driver’s license.Possess a current and valid first aid card.Able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.Possess good customer service skills.Possess computer skills.Possesses good organizational skills and is dependable.Ability to read, speak and understand English.18 years of age or older.Participate in required appropriate job training.Obtained a criminal clearance prior to employment and presence in the facility.Obtained required health screening, TB clearance.Is in good physical and mental health capable of performing assigned tasks.Possess knowledge of housekeeping and sanitation principles.Possess knowledge of infection control and prevention.
