Keep Our Production Running : A Day in the Life

You arrive on the floor, review the CMMS dashboard, and dive into a mix of planned maintenance and urgent break-fix calls. You adjust functional components and control instruments to optimize performance, swap out worn parts, and even recondition machine tools when needed to get equipment back to standard.

Between jobs, you identify the parts, supplies, and repair items required to keep the line moving. You step in to support teammates whenever leadership calls, bring a working knowledge of maintenance industry standards, and uphold 5S and housekeeping practices to keep the workspace safe and efficient. You contribute to continuous improvement efforts—documenting processes, sharing results, and helping to drive cost savings.

When fabrication is the quickest path to uptime, you set up and run basic machining operations—lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools—to make or repair parts. You can also perform basic welding. Throughout the shift, you log work performed and review CMMS history to inform smart troubleshooting and preventative strategies.

On controls-related issues, you perform basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry. You also continue to build your skills through technical self-study programs aimed at growing your career. Above all, you follow all safety policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines—staying situationally aware and proactively identifying unsafe behaviors and conditions.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Either an associate degree with a technical focus, 18+ months of related general-industry experience, or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems and the ability to perform repairs.
• Comfort using standard hand tools.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Expect regular standing and walking; frequent use of hands and fingers; reaching with hands and arms; and climbing, ascending / descending, or balancing at heights using ladders or lifts. You may stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces and will regularly need to talk or hear. Sitting occurs occasionally. You may occasionally lift and / or move more than 50 pounds. Close and color vision are regularly required. You may occasionally encounter outside weather and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment that is usually very loud, where you may be exposed to hazardous materials and / or greasy or slippery floors.
