Work schedule : Operational hours are Monday - Friday 8-5. However, evening and weekend hours are required
during peak registration periods. This position will work at least 2 Saturdays a month (9-3pm)
Due to COVID-19 protocols, there may be times when working remotely may be required.

Essential Duties & Major Responsibilities :
A. Recruitment, Coordination and Outreach
1. Represent the College both on and off campus to prospective students, parents,
secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the
college selection process.
2. Must create and grow a strong relationship with the community, which results in a
positive and stable enrollment.
3. Develops a working relationship with faculty program coordinators and Counseling
staff to maintain an on-going knowledge of programs as changes occur or obtain an
understanding of newly created programs.
4. Develops an on-going relationship with high school officials and counselors to facilitate
recruiting activities.
5. Schedules and conducts visits to schools, churches, and community groups to meet,
develop and encourage communication, involvement, and enrollment with MCC.
6. Counsels prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the
college in person, on the telephone and via email.
7. Gathers and ensures follow up on all inquiries.
8. Works to ensure recruitment fairs are identified and have appropriate coverage.
9. Conducts Admissions presentations and on-site visits.
10. Maintains contact with applicants from target areas utilizing all available
communication tools to ensure completion of the application process and to facilitate an
increase the enrollment yield.
11. Assist in the preparation of and participate in all on campus recruiting events.
12. Counsel students and their families on programs and services available at Mott
Community College.
13. Serves as a liaison between the College and the community in general, developing and
maintaining contacts that represent education need and diversity within the community.
14. Acts as a resource in guiding and assisting in any event at the College that relates to
recruitment, the community, or those interested in attending the College.
15. Presents information about the benefits of an education from the College.
16. Perform divisional recruitment as needed either alone or in conjunction with other
MCC staff.
17. Participates in classroom visitation and other special events to explain programs to
potential students.
18. Assists recruitment team members in implementation of special projects.
19. May service as in internal consultant and resource to internal departments with
recruitment training and new student enrollment process training via information
sessions..
20. Deliver enthusiastic and educational Mott Community College approved presentations
to individuals, groups and classrooms in high schools within an assigned market.
21. Adhere to designated scripts and presentations.
22. Set appointments and give tours for prospective students and their parent
23. Visit campus daily when needed, and attend recruitment meetings with supervisor twice
a week for accountability.
24. Assist with covering the Placement Office functions including but not limited to
serving as a proctor.
25. Responsible for outbound calls and incoming calls
26. Responsible for responding to emails and data entry in a timely manner (24-48 hours)
27. Carries out other duties as assigned.
B. Follow Up
1. Responsible to gather, track and report data from all visits and events.
2. Responsible for following up on prospects from off campus events.
3. Works with Administrative Support Staff to ensure that all inquiries are responded to
within 24 hours by the mode of contact the student prefers (this includes but not limited
to outbound phone calling, assisting with mailings, emailing, face to face meetings, etc.)
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Associate Degree in Business, Marketing, or related required
Microsoft (word, excel and PowerPoint, etc.)
Google applications (google doc, google sheet, google slide, etc.)
Interpersonal skills
Experience with working with a diverse population of students
Additional Preferences
Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related preferred
Experience working in higher education or sales
Dependable and have reliable transportation
Time management skills
