JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Skills :

Summary :

Maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as required.

Maintains documentation and updates the network and security infrastructure, tests and implements vendor security patches, implements workarounds for unpatched security vulnerabilities.

Troubleshoots problems with applications, network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances, proxy servers, DNS appliances and Wireless devices.

Takes corrective actions when necessary following change control guidelines and polices.

Resolves the most complex issues in the environment with little to no supervision, relying on his / her ability to pull together technical resources to gather accurate information to provide data driven solutions.

Create all required technical documentation in accordance with the Change Control and project management processes and procedures.

Provide after hours and on-call support as needed.

Basic Qualifications :

5+ years of experience supporting end to end network technologies such as routers, switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, proxy's, load Balancers, DNS appliances, and wireless devices.

Required :

Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls, Proxies, F5 LTM / GTM / ASM, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Apcon and OPNet.

Experience with UNIX / Linux.

In-depth experience with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF.

Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design

Advanced understanding of performance and monitoring

Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology

Advanced understanding of best practices and the policies

Advanced troubleshooting skills

Technical certifications such as Cisco CCNP-Enterprise or Datacenter, CCIE, Palo Alto PCCSA, PCNS, PCNSE, or F5.

Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and ability to work both independently and in a group.

Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize. Self-directed and accountable.

Knowledge and experience with network automation including programming languages such as Python, JSON, etc.

Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Preferred :

Experience in an enterprise environment and previous banking / financial industry experience is a plus.

Education : Bachelors Degree

Certification : Cisco Certified Network Professional , Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert , Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Administrator , Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer
