Interim Controller Position

We are looking for an experienced Interim Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Garland, Texas. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting expert who excels in streamlining financial operations and mentoring staff. The position is expected to last approximately two months, with potential for ongoing part-time support.

Responsibilities for the Interim Controller :

• Guide and support an accounting team to address overdue financial tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Revise and enhance month-end close processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor and train team members to strengthen their accounting expertise and operational skills.
• Ensure the accuracy of journal entries, transaction postings, and financial documentation.
• Assess and implement optimal costing practices, such as standard or periodic methods.
• Collaborate on creating efficient workflows to achieve faster month-end close timelines.
• Assist with the integration of a new payroll system and optimize its functionality.
• Utilize Dynamics AX to improve accounting processes and reporting capabilities.
• Promote best practices in financial operations while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
