Staff Interaction Designer, Ads Measurement

At Google, we follow a simple but vital premise : "Focus on the user and all else will follow." We are a multidisciplinary UX team, part of BAM UX, focused on Ads Measurement. Our UX team collaborates across disciplines to gather insights about user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform design. As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution—and collaborate with design partners to evolve the Google design language.

Responsibilities

  • Influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
  • Drive the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
  • Drive a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.
  • Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
  • Provide direction to UX designers in creating design concepts for product ideation or user research / testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical / design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • 4 years of experience leading design projects.
  • 3 years of experience working with executive leaders.

    Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. We care deeply about the people who use our products. The UX team gathers insights to inspire and inform design and collaborates with engineering and product management to deliver value for users and Google’s business.

    We are a multidisciplinary UX team, part of BAM UX, focused on Ads Measurement. We help businesses understand the impact of their advertising efforts by humanizing information that is relatable, trustworthy and actionable. We build trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads across Google’s advertising products.

    Compensation : The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Specific salary ranges for your preferred location will be shared by your recruiter during the hiring process. This reflects base salary only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
