Position Summary

As a Project Engineer, VIPER, you will support NASA as an Oceaneering teammate on the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) II contract. Your role will be at the forefront of human spaceflight and deep space exploration programs. You will collaborate with a passionate team who shares your dedication to excellence.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Work on a highly agile, tight-knit team to stand up facilities, processes, and procedures, and transition into SI&T oversight for Engineering Development Units testing and flight hardware integration.
• Develop and build VIPER Rover engineering design unit (EDU) mock-ups.
• Determine and refine the integration flow of EDU mock-up assembly to save schedule during upcoming flight hardware assembly.
• Support Test and Verification (T&V) activities for VIPER Rover flight hardware, performing hands-on hardware testing.
• Report to project lead or project manager for technical support, task assignment, and processes.
• Support hardware troubleshooting to investigate mechanical and electrical failures within flight hardware or test support hardware, and generate essential paperwork (TPS, DR, DTP).
• Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions and other duties as required.
