Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with Siemens equipment and Epic EMR for a day shift position with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital setting as part of the CT Tech team

Adult general population with trauma and stroke cases

Shift is Monday through Thursday, 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM (4x10s)

On-call required one shift per week, except final day, with 7-hour duration starting at 5 : 00 PM

Holiday coverage required for at least one holiday per 13-week contract, in rotation with staff

May float to a nearby clinic location approximately half a mile from the main facility

Uses Siemens CT scanners and Epic EMR; experience with both required

Duties include performing CT procedures, administering contrast media, and ensuring radiation safety

Must be able to safely float between main hospital and affiliated outpatient imaging centers

Team environment includes working in a Level I Trauma Center with Magnet designation and certified stroke care

References are required for consideration

Prior employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates are not accepted; must live 100+ miles from facility to qualify

Time-off requests (RTO) must be submitted up front for approval

Expectations include working or taking call for holidays according to rotation

Online modules and orientation are required and may be completed pre-start or during onboarding

Requirements

Current BLS and ARRT(R) certifications required

ARRT(CT) certification preferred

Previous experience operating Siemens CT scanners required

Previous experience documenting in Epic EMR required

Minimum required education and relevant work history must be documented

Proficiency in preparation and administration of contrast media and radiation safety

Virginia state license required; any active state license accepted while VA license is processing (license required if applicable)

First-time travelers will not be considered
