EssentialFunctions :

Understandapplicable state Practice Act and adhere to the laws which governhow Physical Therapist Assistants may practice under the directionand supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Review the Care Clinical Operations Policies &Procedures Manual on a yearly basis and adhere to the policies andprocedures set forth.

Complete all Medicarecompliance trainings as required by regulations and / or Companypolicies.

Complete Occupational Safety andHealth Administration (OSHA) training on a yearly basis and adhereto standards set forth in OSHA standards and other governmentalregulations.

Clean and prepare treatmentareas and equipment following OSHA guidelines.

Carry out skilled treatment programs as directed by alicensed Physical Therapist.

Communicatepatient comments and activities to therapists clearly via verbal orwritten word.

Document in charts usingaccepted medical terminology and format.

Complete written documentation (daily notes charge tickets etc.)legibly appropriately and in a timely fashion in order to meetfacility physician and payor deadlines.

Maintain open and respectful communication with coworkersphysicians patients family members third party payors and others atall times.

Attend and / or participate infacility meetings as directed by Center Manager (may includeutilization review infection control disaster preparednessetc.)

Completes sufficient ongoingcontinuing education coursework to meet state licensurerequirements for the defined reporting period

Maintains a current CPR certification that meets statelicensure requirements

RequiredCredentials :

Graduation from a physical therapistassistant or physical therapist education program accredited byCAPTE or in the case of a graduate of an international physicaltherapist assistant program or international physical therapistprogram from a nonCAPTE accredited program seeking licensurecertification or registration as a physical therapist assistant asubstantially equivalent education

Current valid Statelicense / registration / certification

Note : Company also offersreimbursement on continuing education courses and can do workauthorizations / sponsorships!
