Mid-Level Civil / Water Resource Engineer - Appleton, WI

The Opportunity :

Tetra Tech is adding a Mid-Level Civil / Water Resource Engineer to support the design and implementation of construction, civil, earthworks, water resource, aquatic restoration, and sediment remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and engineering design. This position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to develop sustainable environmental solutions.

Your Role :

• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling related to river systems.
• Develop engineering design reports, plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Assist in the design and implementation of civil and water-related projects, particularly aquatic restoration and sediment remediation.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS for project development and execution.
• Prepare and analyze Civil 3D surfaces from survey data, LiDAR, and point cloud datasets.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including biologists, ecologists, and geomorphologists.
• Provide technical support during project permitting and regulatory compliance processes.
• Participate in fieldwork and site inspections to assess project feasibility and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
• Additional duties as required.
