The Senior Manager, Marketing Insights at Vans is a pivotal role designed for a visionary with a knack for transforming data into actionable insights for marketers.

You will spearhead the Global Marketing insights program, aiming to drive profitable revenue growth and elevate Vans prominence in the Global streetwear market.

As the cornerstone between data and marketing strategy, the Senior Manager, Marketing Insights will not only oversee the analytical processes but also ensure that the insights gleaned are effectively communicated and implemented.

You will be responsible for optimizing marketing strategies, tracking brand health, analyzing media presence - all while maintaining a pulse on the ever-evolving cultural trends that define our community.

In this role, the Senior Manager Marketing Insights will engage in a dynamic partnership with global and regional marketing teams, finance, Consumer Insights, and data governance partners to synchronize and integrate market-level data inputs.

You will coordinate with both internal teams and external vendors, managing the entire program cycle and ensuring that all insights are accurate, actionable, and aligned with Vans’ strategic goals.

The role demands not just an analytical mind but also the ability to translate complex findings into clear, strategic narratives.

This will involve regular presentations to key decision-makers, driving informed strategic demand creation, and supporting seasonal and annual budget planning.

You will bring a rich blend of analytical storytelling skills, vendor management experience, and a comprehensive grasp of data-driven marketing strategies.

This role is for someone who is passionate about both numbers and narratives, capable of steering Vans’ marketing strategies with data-informed insights.

Strategic MROI Optimization : Lead our marketing ROI strategies, employing advanced analytics to fuel innovative and efficient campaigns that resonate worldwide.

Dynamic Brand Health Tracking : Monitor and interpret brand health indicators, ensuring our pulse on culture remains strong and definitive.

Engagement & Cultural Insight : Extract narratives from social engagement metrics, understanding and fostering deeper connections within our community.

Impactful Media Presence Analysis : Keep us ahead of trends and refine our public image through insightful press and media coverage analysis.

Search & Digital Footprint Optimization : Innovate our approach to search analytics, leading strategies that enhance visibility and relevance in a crowded digital space.

Proactive Innovation and Adaptation : Stay ahead of the curve by identifying emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in marketing analytics that can further enhance Vans’ strategic position.

Collaborative Leadership : Partner closely with global and regional marketing teams, finance, analytics, Consumer Insights, and data governance partners, synchronizing data inputs and ensuring a unified approach.

Vendor and Team Management : Establish strong relationships with external vendors and lead a team of analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and impactful storytelling.

Storytelling & Implementation : transform complex data into the marketing insights that drive our cutting-edge campaigns, product launches, and global branding efforts.

Partner closely with the to ensure implementation.

Maintain a high standard of work and stay at cutting edge of latest marketing trends and tools to ensure Vans remains synonymous with culture and quality.

Cross-functional Engagement : Actively collaborate with other departments to ensure marketing insights are integrated across all business functions, enhancing overall strategy and execution.

Effective stewardship of Vans’ Marketing Analytics, MROI led marketing model that delivers actionable insights and informs global and regional marketing investment strategies that, ultimately, drive global revenue, profit, and brand elevation.

Program continually optimizes marketing strategies based on real-time data to enhance overall campaign effectiveness.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience : 5+ years in a similar role with a deep understanding of marketing principles and the ability to navigate the complexities of a dynamic landscape.

Educational Position Requirements :

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate / graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

Analytical Storytelling : Exceptional communication skills, turning complex data into compelling narratives that drive strategic decisions.

Understanding of MarTech / AdTech : Proficient in analytics and data visualization tools, with a keen sense of the digital landscape's impact on brand and marketing strategies.

Advanced analytical techniques : proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and other advanced methods to derive deeper insights from data.

Expertise in understanding the intricacies of activating MMM / MROI models, their strengths, and limitations.

Experience working in retail marketing : brand or agency side.

Proven experience managing external vendors and cross-functional marketing efforts.

Understanding of how global and regional marketing teams integrate with one another at a large size brand and how marketing insights support a go-to-market process.

Experience in financial planning and tracking, especially in marketing.

In-depth understanding of Vans’ unique market positioning and how to leverage data to further strengthen our brand.

Advanced data interpretation skills to guide marketing decision making and strategic planning at a global scale.
