Responsibilities include assisting clients in obtaining employment by facilitating workplace readiness curriculum, completing administrative functions supporting employment and education of clients, and generally supporting the employment counseling function.

Scope Of Duties :

• Orient new clients to educational, vocational, and employment services.
• Assist in conducting educational and employment assessment of clients.
• Collect data and maintain accurate records necessary for monthly reports for funding agencies.
• Initiate education / employment files for new clients and assure all client documents are filed weekly.
• Conduct telephone job verification for all clients in accordance with funding source requirements.
• Notify funding source in writing of each client's employment.
• Conduct job readiness and job retention classes.
• Participate in all team meetings.
• Assist with the completion of necessary documentation in accordance with funding source requirements and policies and procedures.
• Assist client in securing documentation needed for employment and training opportunities including escorting clients to respective agencies to secure documentation.
• Transporting clients to job fairs and other work / educational activities.
• Facilitate Pre / Post TABE Test and make appropriate recommendations.
• Conduct drug and alcohol screens as directed or needed and report results to supervisor.
• Interact verbally and non-verbally with all clients, staff, and outside contacts professionally with respect and courtesy.
• Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and training sessions.
