A company is looking for a Lead Clinical Documentation Coordinator (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day workflow of the Clinical Documentation Integrity Program
Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records for documentation accuracy
Facilitate appropriate physician documentation to reflect patient severity and ensure compliance with external payer requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in nursing; bachelor's degree preferred or a graduate of a domestic / international school of medicine
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an acute care setting and one year of clinical documentation integrity experience
Knowledge of the Prospective Payment System and Diagnosis Related Group selection
Current RN license in the state of residence if applicable; preferred certifications include CDIP, CCDS, CCS, and / or ICD-10 Certification
Minimum of one year of management experience preferred
