Key Responsibilities

Edit manuscripts for clarity and flow while preserving the author's voice

Proofread for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency

Select projects that align with personal interests and expertise, setting own rates and availability

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of professional editing or proofreading experience

Demonstrated experience with a traditional publisher or recognized journal, magazine, or newspaper

A portfolio of relevant work in the desired genres

Relevant studies or copy editing / proofreading certificates are positively valued

Experience with a renowned publishing company or high-quality work with bestselling authors is a plus
