SUMMARY

The candidate will assist the Director of Construction Administration in accounting of construction projects

of various sizes, review and tracking of purchase commitments, review of all project invoices and payment

applications, and updating reporting for projects.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • CPA or in process of obtaining CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles especially with regards to fixed assets.
  • Proficiency in Excel required.
  • JDE / Oracle general ledger software experience a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Ability to understand the potential financial impact of decisions made and balance the financial

impact with internal customer expectations.

  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, strong organization and time management skills.
  • Embraces change and willing to learn new skills; a self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate working relationships throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Review and approve all submitted invoices for assigned projects
  • Review AIA billing requisitions and pay applications
  • Review, submit, and track requisitions and contracts
  • Ensure that all project accounting document records are properly maintained.
  • Ensure that all spend is tracked, processed correctly, accrued if necessary, and accounted for

accurately.

  • Assist in bi-weekly and monthly project reporting updates.
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with the project and management team
  • Assist with the enforcement of company policies and procedures and adhering to federal, state and

local regulations during the execution of company business

  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Assist in identifying manual processes for automation to improve efficiency.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
