We're Hiring : Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer

Location : On-site in Santa Fe, NM

Schedule : Mon–Fri, 8 : 30 AM–5 : 30 PM

Status : Full-Time (40 hours / week)

Starting Pay : $28.00 / hour

Guadalupe Credit Union is looking for a Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team! In this role, you'll support our members by guiding them through the mortgage process, ensuring accurate loan applications, and connecting them with the right home financing solutions and resources to help them achieve their homeownership goals. You'll be a trusted partner for members while collaborating with the mortgage team to provide timely, professional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview members, gather documentation, and assist in completing mortgage applications.

Review credit reports, evaluate income and debts, and determine loan eligibility.

Maintain loan files from application through disclosures, rate locks, and closing.

Ensure compliance with mortgage regulations (TILA, RESPA, TRID, HMDA) and internal policies.

Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other third-party providers.

Communicate loan status, missing documentation, and closing requirements to members.

Process loan denials, counteroffers, and submit adverse action notices as required.

Promote optional protection products and refer members to homebuyer education or financial coaching.

Support delinquent loans and collaborate with the Collections Department when needed.

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and integrity in all interactions with members and staff.

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, as well as standing and walking, with occasional bending, kneeling, reaching, and crouching. Filing and lifting of items up to 20 pounds may be required on an occasional basis.
