Operations Manager – Waterworks
Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Michigan Waterworks business operations, ensuring extraordinary service and operational integrity.
Business Accountabilities and Operational Management
- Supports business and sales objectives through effective management.
- Collaborates with the General Manager and key leaders to build and strengthen culture.
- Provides on-site support to foster in-person communication among key leaders.
- Supports day-to-day business processes and functions.
- Aligns with the District Operations Manager to prioritize corporate objectives and areas of improvement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Implement and maintain company policies for the Waterworks business unit.Drive operational efficiency improvements, including standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfaction.Manage the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards.Identify and implement process improvements based on experience and findings.Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on data analysis to ensure data-driven decisions.Maintain safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and applicable regulations.Support development of branch leadership through coaching and mentoring.Lead associates, implement processes, and policies to profitably maintain and grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and create growth opportunities.Identify new opportunities for cost savings.Facilitate and develop standard operating procedures.Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team.Conduct regular associate and branch leadership meetings to promote continuous improvement.Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed.Collaborate with shared purchasing center to manage purchasing and inventory control activities.Grow operationally through facility additions, changes, and HR moves to promote growth.Manage facility maintenance approvals for business and market needs.Conduct business process review to meet company goals in accordance with inventory and process requirements.Advise and support business unit, district, waterworks division and company initiatives.Qualifications
3-5 years water, wastewater, or related infrastructure industry experience.Exceptional ability to organize and prioritize work.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).Ability to effectively use Ferguson's inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).Outstanding organizational and leadership skills to respond to urgent situations.Pay Range
$7,383.34 – $11,816.67 per month (Salaried). Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
