We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Yankton, South Dakota. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial processes, including general ledger management, month-end close, and financial statement preparation. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will provide critical insights and analysis to support the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
• Evaluate and review inventory costing, absorption testing, and product profitability data for accuracy.
• Compile and validate data for journal entries during financial closing periods.
• Provide financial analysis and identify opportunities for cost control and working capital improvement.
• Support and promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial reliability.
• Utilize data mining techniques to uncover actionable insights for business decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing cost accounting processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with SOX requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• A minimum of five years of experience in financial roles, preferably within a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and managerial accounting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and deliver results.
• Advanced computer skills, including experience with financial software systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and process improvement methodologies.
• Previous experience with Oracle systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and proven leadership abilities.
