JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor provides clinical expertise, knowledge and leadership for department members in coordinating staffing, and work assignments.
The Supervisor serves as a mentor by role modeling professional practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness and standards of care.
The Supervisor works for a growing division of multiple physicians with Naples for NCHHG Heart Institute. Assists the Practice Manager to develop, implement and monitor compliance to the department operating budget and performance, supply inventory management.
Above all, this position serves to exceed the expectations of patients and all other customers we serve.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in development and management of par levels and expense budgets for equipment, supplies and materials.
- Oversees ongoing improvement in patient satisfaction.
- Assumes a clerical or clinical (MA) assignment when staffing levels support the need for assistance.
- Demonstrates, promotes, and rewards exemplary leadership skills and contributions of the staff toward the achievement of organizational goals.
- Assists the Practice Manager to identify learning needs of the staff, i.e. arranging for departmental needs assessment, in-services, and other educational programs.
- Coaches and provides immediate feedback to staff.
- Assist Practice Manager with labor management of staff.
- Trains, orients and meets the new hires (including planning and orientation).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years of physician’s office setting experience required.
- Associates’ Degree preferred.
- Certified or registered through an approved organization as a Medical Assistant.
- Intermediate computer knowledge : Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
