Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities :

• Posting payments from the accounts receivable log to customer accounts in our system
• Monitoring credit card expiration dates and addressing payment failures
• Ensuring timely credit card updates to prevent disruptions
• Reconciling outstanding balances and resolving discrepancies
• Monitoring and maintaining customer payment terms
• Assisting in account adjustments and maintaining proper documentation for audit purposes
• Generating credit memos for approved adjustments and coordinating with relevant teams
• Preparing and processing manual invoices for customers
• Applying charges to customer accounts based on services incurred
• Processing employee expense reports, verifying receipts, and ensuring compliance
• Managing cost of goods sold charges
• Assisting in setting up new vendor accounts and conducting credit checks

Additional office administrative tasks may be assigned as needed, such as answering phones and managing mail and orders.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role or Associate degree in Accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
