Overview
Heat Treat Manager to oversee all aspects of heat treat operations—leading a skilled team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily heat treat operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.
- Supervise and develop a team of operators, fostering engagement, accountability, and growth.
- Ensure processes meet internal and customer quality standards, including metallurgy specifications and hardness requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and reduce downtime by working closely with maintenance staff.
- Monitor KPIs, implement process improvements, and drive efficiency while reducing scrap and waste.
- Support and prepare for Nadcap heat treat audits.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and operational protocols.
Qualifications
5+ years of heat treat operations experience in a manufacturing environment (small parts experience a plus) and leadership experience.Strong knowledge of heat treat equipment (furnaces, quench systems), metallurgy, and related processes.Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.Background in aerospace, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing strongly desired.Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and lean manufacturing principles.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a base salary of $130,000-$145,000 per year with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability. Relocation assistance is available.
