Minimum Requirements : A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, engineering or building construction and one (1) year of experience involving the development of general / preventative maintenance procedures, the oversight of routine maintenance activities, the inspection of facility conditions, identification of facility issues for corrective action, procurement of facility service contracts, and warranty management. Experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Educational Note : Graduates utilizing education attained in the United States to meet the minimum requirements of a position will not be appointed until verification of the applicable degree has been obtained. Foreign trained graduates utilizing a degree attained outside of the United States to meet the minimum requirements of a position must be prepared to provide a copy of a credential evaluation conducted by an Approved Credential Evaluation Agency. Job Duties

Reports to, briefs and assists the Assistant Chief of General Services on matters related to Facilities Management. Responsible for development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines relating to facility maintenance; monitors health and safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations as relating to facility maintenance; reviews facility maintenance policies; evaluates impact on facility operations; identifies potential problems; and recommends appropriate actions. Develop and maintain standardized general and preventative maintenance procedures for all department-owned facilities throughout the state. Procure and oversee routine maintenance service agreements for facility assets at department-owned facilities. Ensure service contractors are in compliance with manufacturer requirements. Monitor active warranties on facility systems, equipment, or assets, and ensure routine service is provided timely to maintain warranty coverages. Administer standardized routine maintenance activities to ensure facility equipment and assets are performing at optimal conditions. Oversee operation and maintenance of typical facility systems, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, envelope, fenestrations, hardware, interiors, roofing, landscaping, and irrigation systems or equipment. Coordinate with division stakeholders to ensure facility operations are in alignment with critical department mission objectives. Visit department facilities throughout the state on a regular basis to monitor execution of maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance, continuity of service agreements, and warranty management of facility assets. Thoroughly inspect facility conditions, identify any issues requiring corrective action, procure quotes and facilitate repairs of facility equipment or assets as needed. Validate equipment and assets are performing effectively and efficiently. Prepare a compilation of monthly, quarterly, or annual facility maintenance status reports as required by division leadership. Maintain routine general and preventative maintenance logs, service logs, and warranty logs. Maintain an organized electronic filing system. Perform other related duties as required.
