Sr. Manager, Product Marketing

Tatcha is a skincare brand rooted in timeless Japanese wisdom, offering transformative yet kind-to-skin formulas that marry Japanese botanicals with clinical ingredients. Job Summary

Tatcha is seeking a Sr. Manager, Product Marketing to help own and lead the development of new product innovations and lead the continued growth of core SKUs. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to build, execute and maintain Tatcha's global product portfolio, innovation pipeline, and marketing strategies that fuel brand growth and deepen consumer love.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring Tatcha's product stories to life by crafting meaningful narratives that honor the brand's heritage and resonate with our consumers.
  • A strategic driver of innovation for owned franchises and the existing portfolio.
  • Ability to synthesize consumer insights, sales data, competitive analysis, and global feedback to lead product portfolio strategy and product creation from ideation, concept creation to launch independently.
  • Identify opportunities to reignite excitement for existing products building core hero SKUs, driving sustained consumer engagement, brand relevance and continued YoY growth.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Packaging, R&D, Creative, Regulatory and Operations to deliver best-in-class innovations that embody the Tatcha experience from concept to consumer.
  • Develop timely, detailed marketing briefs for all new products inclusive of product messaging, packaging, copy, product names, etc. ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Proactively anticipate and address developmental and operational challenges throughout the product launch process.
  • Conduct detailed pricing analyses and make strategic SRP recommendations for core, new, and limited-edition launches.
  • Manage cost of goods for product launches and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
  • Provide global volume projections / forecasting inclusive of understanding growth to portfolio, SKU cannibalization and implications to retail channels.
  • Partner with global retailers, sales teams and regional teams to ensure product strategies are executed and business objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and distribute launch toolkits and communications for global markets, including launch calendars, pricing, product positioning, and strategic guidance.
  • Support the development of key presentations for leadership meetings, global strategy sessions, and product reviews.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Marketing within the beauty / CPG industry. Experience leading the product marketing process end-to-end is a must. Skincare and / or prestige beauty experience a huge plus.
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.
  • Consumer-obsessed with a passion for uncovering unmet needs and crafting product stories that emotionally connect.
  • Have experience with building a product pipeline and seeing products through from concept, development and go to market.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Agile and self-driven, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A strategic and analytical thinker with strong quantitative skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Highly collaborative and able to inspire cross-functional partners, earning alignment and support for key initiatives.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on delivering growth while upholding brand integrity.
  • Culturally aware, with the ability to understand market nuances and local consumer needs.
  • Creative and future-focused, with a natural intuition for emerging trends.
  • Strong business acumen, capable of synthesizing data to make sound, consumer-centric decisions.
  • Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and work a hybrid schedule (in-office two days per week).
  • The expected base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000. The exact base pay is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan based on personal performance and company results.
