Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in managing the operation of the store and supervising store personnel. The position requires being well-versed in and ensuring compliance with accounting, employee, and store policies. The Assistant Store Manager will also ensure that all production is taken from the back room and properly displayed on the sales floor.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Assist in training, direction, and supervision of new personnel, along with retraining of all personnel as necessary.
• Responsible for proper accounting and banking of cash receipts as per the “Safekeeping of Salvation Army Funds” policy.
• Ensure all paperwork and sales reports are filled out completely and forwarded to the finance office daily.
• In the absence of the Store Manager, attend manager meetings and keep store personnel informed of new policies and directives.
• May be asked to fill in at other store locations as needed.
• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relations.
