WHO YOU ARE

The position requires an experienced accountant with strong ERP financial systems aptitude and ability to analyze relevant information within various phases of the accounting cycle.

A strong ability to multi-task and manage several priorities concurrently while also adhering to stringent deadlines is paramount.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

This position is currently hybrid, based in the Orlando, Florida, company headquarters, in Lake Nona.

Regular schedule is 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM. Monday and Friday remote from home, and onsite in the corporate office Tuesday through Thursday.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Position Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary :

Day-to-Day

  • Working knowledge of general ledger activity and preparation of workpapers related to key balance sheet and profit & loss accounts to ensure accuracy of financial statements including period closings and required reconciliation(s).
  • Coordination of various systems processes in preparing month-end, quarterly and annual financial information including intercompany analysis, reconciliations and consolidations.
  • Accurate and efficient preparation of appropriate journal entries supplemented by accurate supporting documentation and analysis.
  • Continuous approach to process improvements and efficiencies are essential.
  • Other tasks as directed.

Financial Reporting, Internal Control and Audits

  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
  • Responsible for research and reconciling general ledger discrepancies.
  • Preparing journal entries and account analysis.
  • Assist in the review and analysis of intercompany activity and reconciliation.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to work in the office three (3) days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
  • Ability to connect via VPN on remote days.

Education and Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of continued progressive experience in accounting at a senior level.
  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. (CPA or CMA a plus).
  • Good understanding of GAAP principles, internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Experience with mid-level ERP, financial reporting applications and processes.
  • Working knowledge of Infor LN ERP, Board.com or equivalent software is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the financial closing process (M / Q / Y)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite package (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - both individually and as a team member.
