We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design, installation, maintenance, and validation of electrical systems within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with GMP , FDA , and EHS standards while supporting new capital projects and ongoing plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for production, utilities, and cleanroom environments.
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ / OQ / PQ) of new equipment.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Ensure proper functioning of power distribution systems, MCCs, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams (mechanical, automation, validation, quality).
- Manage contractors and vendors for electrical installations.
- Participate in FAT / SAT and system handover documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NEC , NFPA , OSHA , and FDA / cGMP regulations.
- Support audits and corrective / preventive action implementation.
- Maintain documentation related to calibration, preventive maintenance, and change controls.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions with minimal downtime.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigation for equipment issues.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.Masters degree preferred but not required.27 years of electrical engineering experience in pharmaceutical , biotech , or medical device industries.Experience with GMP environments , cleanroom utilities , and automation systems (PLC / SCADA).Familiarity with HVAC controls , lighting , emergency systems , and UPS .Seniority Level
